Being Silly or Being Smart In a relationship, there might be two different kinds of situation happening: (1)You are too silly or too naive to see the truth, so you feel quite happy and you can always smile/laugh easily; (2)You are so smart or so experienced that it is so easy to see the hidden truth, but you can hardly deceive yourself, so you feel quite broken-hearted. Being silly yet happy or being smart yet broken-hearted, which way/attitude should we choose to get our happiness back again in a relationship. Your advice/wisdom is greatly appreciated, thank you!

HappyBird, There is no too smart nor too naive too see the truth...your own instinct can tell you the truth whether is worthy to be in such relationship. On the other hand..there is none win-win situation in both cases...so why even bother? If you yourself knowing that you are being silly and pretended to be happy...you know well that this kind of happiness won't last long. If you are smart enough to see the hidden truth then..should be brave enough to cut it short and simple...so that won't hurt yourself and the other party any further. Sorry...I can't give you any advise or wisdom but from personal experience...I do suggest that make yourself truly happy then you will meet someone that is happy to be with you. I'd like to thank you all for taking time to give me your personal advice or analysis about my confusion, which are precious and helpful to me. No words can express my feelings for you being so warm-hearted to me. Here in China, there is a classic poem by a famous poet Su Shi in Song Dynasty, that is, 题西林壁 - 苏轼 横看成岭侧成峰， 远近高低各不同； 不识庐山真面目， 只缘身在此山中. The last two sentences in this poem could be translated as: I don't know the true face of LuShan Mountains, Only because I am in the mountains themselves. I felt I had totally been lost as if I was standing in the misty mounstains, not knowing which direction I should go to. It was you who are outside the mountains and cleared a path for me and took me away from the mist,then again, I saw sunshine. Thank you again, for your kindness and sincerity. May you all find your happiness in the year 2007.

Happy Bird, The poem really explained the situation well...coz when you are in the maze..it is not easy to find the right direction just as people said about the doctor can heal others but not himself!. 能醫就不自醫！！ Glad that you see the sunshine again Ash

Hi dummy95, 谢谢你！现在刚刚从弘法寺回来。今天是元宵节，一路上人山人海，塞车太厉害了，所以还没到山门口就不得不从车上下来，走了一个多小时才到寺庙门口。阿姨和我一起到湖边亲自将可爱活泼的乌龟放到了湖水中，看到它开心地在水中游啊游啊直到完全沉入水中，很开心！ 你们那边也会庆祝元宵节吗？Anyway, 祝节日快乐！

It's great to hear that they have Lantern Festival parade over there in SF, even better than here in SZ. Yesterday morning when I was on my way to the temple by foot, there were a few people walking beside me. One of them was originally from Gan Su province and had stayed here for more than 20 years. He missed the feeling of celebrating this holiday, because if it was in his hometown, there would have beeen a lot of celebration events and it would be a lot of fun. Did you enjoy eating Բ yesterday? I hope so! I seldom eat sweet things, but yesterday we bought some and ate them as well, very sweet!

I think is important that a person love self first. I th ink Mr. SFB say that before can love someone must love self first. If we have no confidence ourself or like ourself how others can be like us? I do not think silly is happy or smart is sad. Important is to know when is something silly and not take seriously. Or know when is smart to avoid something bad. If good take advantage of it. (sorry my poor english)
