Treasure your love ones!

I am writing again as to what had happened this afternoon.

I recieved a phonecall from my neighbors family of Mr. Kotaro. If you don't know about him try reading my blog titled " Jalo trying hard! "

He was confined to the hospital! They said that he didn't wake-up for almost the whole day but his heart is still beating. So before going to my work, I went to the hospital to visit him.

His family was about to leave the hospital when I arrived and they directed me to his room. There are eight patients inside the room and I saw him already had awaken and the nurse was changing his clothes.

Actually the story is not about Mr. Kotaro! It is about the other elderly man beside Mr. Kotaro's bed.

Mr. Kotaro's family and me talked about his condition at the hospital's hallway. They were relieved to see the fast recovery of Mr. Kotaro and asked me if I can stay with him for about an hour because they have to go home to prepare his things to use in while he stays in the hospital.

When I returned inside the room to have a little talk to Mr. Kotaro, I forgot where his bed is located. I was so busy talking to his family that I never recognized where his bed is? All I know is that his bed is on the left middle part when you enter the room. But I don't know if it is 2nd bed or 3rd bed. There are dividers every bed that I can't see who is staying there!

I just used my hokus-pokus style and opened 2nd bed's curtain. Do you know what I just saw? It is not Mr. Kotaro! It's another elderly man lying in his bed with his wife. What I saw is that, the wife is slapping and punching and hurting this elderly man. I shouted, " NOOOOOO! What are you doing!" I cried and a little angry and saw the face of the man very red and swelling, unable to speak. He was to weak of the pain!

Nurses came rushing inside the room because they heard me shout! They went to the man's bed and asked what had happened. The woman told them that he fell down head first that his face swelled and hurted. How could she tell those lies! She got no heart! She is not a human being who have a soul! The man can't answer afraid of his wife. Nurses asked me what had happened and why I shouted. I can't talk! The woman looked at me as if she wanted to kill me! I was thinking what should I do! Do I have to tell the nurses about the truth or keep silent? My heart was pumping very hard because of anger!

I went out and go to the nurse's station and told them what I saw. All of them were alarmed! The man had been there for a week and they were also bothered of the man's face and body. Full of sores and swelling. They are also wondering why this man eats all of his food but still weak. And they finally realized that the woman was the one eating his meal. When the wife is out somewhere the man asks for food to the nurses.

If you could only see the man's situation when that woman punches, pinches and slapped his face, maybe you also want to give her the taste of what she's doing to the weak and helpless husband.

I was hoping and praying for the safety and fast recovery of Mr. Kotaro and specially the other elderly man beside his bed! I planned to go there everyday just to check the situation of that helpless man!

Thanks for that complement!

I also want to add that Filipinos believe that if they won't work abroad, they won't be able to live a stable life. And the nearest way to go to America or other countries is to work as a nurse since there are many open job for nurse outside my country.

Filipinos are happy with what we have. We share even the last peace of bread to the hungry person that we saw in the street. We value friendship not minding of what people will say of what kind of friend you have!

I grew up from a poor family, and I know how these poor people feel and enjoy! I don't discriminate people. I have lot's of friends from squatters people to rich and socialite people. I know how to mix myself to them, coz i'm not very choosy. And they are everywhere! You can't avoid them or just ignore them. They need to know that not all people who got money are not wicked or rude! They should know that we are the same, same human being who cares and know how to love and treasure friendship. If you won't show that to them, they will never do the same to you or to other people, may it be rich or poor!

Thanks for your advise!

But do they also have that here in japan? I am just an alien here!

I told the nurses about what I saw, and they have to do something about that! I can't do it alone or i'll be deported to my country and reverse the situation that I was the one doing that!

They have an institution here in Japan, where abused elderly people stay. All they ask of the family is to bring whatever the patient needs. But some family never even bother to visit their elderly family. Of course they have to pay for the services of this institution. Some wants their family to stay with them at their house but the institution never just let it happen, they check the family if they are capable of taking care of the elderly at home or just kill him.

Some family wants their elderly to die a soon as possible to get the insurance and the property that the elderly family owns. So sad!

I know that you're going to feel the same way when I saw the incident! I easily got angry, all I want to do that time is jump at the woman and punch her too! Or maybe reach for her hair and throw her on the floor!

I, again, controlled my erupting emotion!

I want to go there again this afternoon and check the man's situation. Or maybe if I can't control myself again when I see the woman, I just don't know what to do or react. Hopefully, she'll never become my horse. (Jump ta her back and pull her hair) No I have to be with somebody to accompany me there so that someone can pull me back not to do what I had in my mind!

Thankyou for understanding my situation as also the helpless alien in this country who is willing to help but limited to my actions!

Maybe, God called me or directed me to be there to give justice for this helplaess man.

One of my girls who work with me at night was a former Day Care Service attendant and she also told a lot about those abused elderly. She told me that my experience seeing the situation is not yet worst but common. She told me alot about family neglect and abuse and reassons why they wanted their elderly family die than live.

Some cases was caused by, while this elderly person was young, they may be very strict to their ddaughter in laws, And now that they are old and weak, they recieve revenge in return. Or maybe the upbringing of their family because of their old traditional way of thinking.

Some nurses here in Japan also neglect their job as to take care of their patients. They lack nurses here. Young girls wants to party at night than study. I'm sorry to say this but this is true. Japan hospitals are now hiring Filipino nurses and even doctors!

You're new to my blog and sorry, this blog is the saddest or worst yet I has written. Thanks for visiting and realizing that not only little children nedds attention and care, also these elderly people.

Without these elderly people, we are not here!

Life is unfair! I'd rather die without money that to die with money and bew abused by my family because of what they desire from me after death!

In Philippines, poor families are plenty that some die because they can't support the hospitalization and even the burial of the deceased family.

But here in Japan, all of them have insurance and has monay and property, they never recieve an expected care from their families. I'm not talking in general! Let us consider that abused elderly are about 10-2 us consider that abused elderly are about 10-20%. Not only elderly but also students here from elementary to working salary man also experience abuse.

I was just wondering why in such a beautiful and quiet country, lise these kind of selfishness!

I guess that will be a stern warning for us boys to be more careful in choosing our lifetime partner...Although it seems the wife of that old man was too fed up of the situation she's having, I guess its unfair still on the old man's part being beaten just like that...

One thing I'm sure of is that , you will never be like that in the future because you have a soft heart for the oldies...

Happy weekend!and Take care!

Somebody said that he don't want to die without someone on his side or something like that. But if you are going to die beside this kind of woman, you just wanted to die earlier than the day God had appointed for you!

I just heard that, that woman was sadistically treated by her mother in law. They have that crazy old belief as daughter in laws have no right to decide or do anything that she pleases. And during those times, her husband never defended her. That's also sad!

In the near future.......I will never do that , but what if he do it to me???????

Thanks for your comment!

P.S.

We Filipinos are not taught that way. We are God fearing people! Am I right?

I want to make an apology of my typing is getting worst. No I'm not drunk but maybe in a hurry to tell everyone what I know and what I feel!

I may be telling some bad side of Japanese people, my intention is to stop these abuse! I am not writting these just to put myself or my country in pedestal. No, I just want you all to know that there are cases like these even in a disciplined and peaceful country such as Japan.

In my country too, we also have these kind of situation but more on child abuse and sexual abuse.

We cannot choose our family, but we have to love and treasure them dearly!

You're using the smiley key very good!

No, not humble but talkative and gossiper hero. Do you think that I need to know the life of that elderly man? As if I went there to check or gossip?

Actually, i'm really concerned! My father and mother is already old and I don't want them to experience the same thing from my relatives or from my own family member or i'll kill them!

But my relatives are on watch of my father's condition. They thought that they can own everything! They never thought all are transfered to my name. My sisters doesn't care anyway coz they don't want problems. I handle big problems always!

What is "gossiper hero?"

It would be only sincere respect if you were to know some more about this man; he would appear to need someone who cares?
To know is to care.

You can choose your friends, but not your relatives.

(you're giving me good advice on the Smiley Key, so Thank You!)

(what is the meaning of this one ?)

Yes that's true. Because here in japan, husbands are considered the master of the house. All of the decision will come from the master.

Maybe, she's paying back for what she had experienced. But take a look at theirselves, she's already old and who's gonna take care of her. Is she not afraid that someday , someone's going to do the same she did to his helpless hsband?

New couples thinkt hat if their husbands are no good, they're out! There are many young women and men married and finally realized that they are not yet ready to commit. Here in Japan, I think they go by the latest trend of relationship. When there's some couple divorced, they will also do the same, as if it's the modern world.

Japan have a high quality of living. They are very concerned as to what their neighbors are buying, repairing, and many more. It's like a competetion. Maybe because they have money to spend. And everything is within their reach.

If you still have more questions don't hesitate. There are some people who read my blogs who may share some comments as to what you wanted to know. Also there many things to tell you but I don't know where to start. I may outline some that I know about their way of living here in Japan according to my observation and discussions from friends.

Japanese Healing Vacations

Natural hot springs (onsen) are numerous and highly popular across Japan. Every region of the country has its share of hot springs and resort towns, which come with them.

There are many types of hot springs, distinguished by the minerals dissolved in the water. Different minerals provide different health benefits, and all hot springs are supposed to have a relaxing effect on your body and mind.

Hot spring baths come in many varieties, indoors and outdoors, gender separated and mixed, developed and undeveloped. Many hot spring baths belong to a ryokan, while others are public bath houses. An overnight stay at a hot spring ryokan is a highly recommended experience to any visitor of Japan.

Seems like you love rotenburo huh!

I don't like the smell of onsen! It smells like a rotten boiled egg!

Don't forget to clean your body first before getting in. Or else Japanese people will get angry at you! Careful!
