WHO LIKES PINAY?

Pinay means Filipina women.

I don't know how other nations or countries think about Filipinas.

Some think that we are all domestic helpers in Hong Kong , Singapore, anywhere in the world.

Some think or see us prostitutes, specially the Japayuki who are now stranded in the Philippines. Most of them are college graduates in a reputable school or have masters. Lack of job or work lead them to become bargirls at night. Because this is the easiest way to earn bigger and faster. But i'm telling you the work is really different compared to their work here in Japan.

In Japan, they can have a lot of money untouched by men. But there are also some bars or club here in Japan which is owned by a Yakuza, they sell their bodies and threatened their families in the PHilippines.

Some who are working in a Hotel, they earn real clean and bigger money and mostly have sponsors to help them. These sponsors are not sugar daddies, they are people who give work or booking on TV's and other joints.

They say that Philippines is dirty country. Well, I can't blame those peole who see the truth that is already in front of them. We can't hide them. Many street rroaming around , some have no clothes , some are begging for alms and some are spitting here and there . No available public toilets, unless you go to a fastfood just to use their toilet. But that is unethical, of course, even if your stomach is still full, buy at least french fries

Pollution is also a problem. Big buses, Japan's surplus buses are great smoke belchers.

When it's rainy day, I advise everyone not to go out or you'll drown specially in Manila. Drainage is so dirty that when the rain fall, in just 15 minutes, there will be great black flood.

Also be careful of pick pockets. Be sure to hide your Cellular phones, those are good commodities to holdapers. Back packs are not used in the back, they are now front packs. To make sure that youe wallet and important belongings are still there. If not, you might be carrying a slashed bag.

Jewelries, those people who have HEPATITIS (I use this term to people who wore all of their gold accesories in their body and they look yellow) must be aware of snatchers. They go in group, one in the front and two at your back in case you run after the snatcher. Good tactics huh BECAUSE I EXPERIENCED IT. Good thing, I was using the cheapest necklace that I recieved from a frined. It's not the gold it's the value of the person who gave it to me.

So who would want to live in this kind of country?

We also have attitudes, specially those people who have not experienced working with or living with other people around the world. Filipinas are to proud of themselves, thinking that they are beautiful and intelligent. OMG, stop boasting, we never know how we are rated by these people who see us, our attitudes and our country or government. We have big eyes, usually attractive to small eyed men And these big eyed men are attracted to small eyed women. We are not the only daughters of God. All of us have different kind of beauties not only you Pinays I had worked with other asian women and I find all of them beautiful and sexy and frankly we have different ways and belief. For me ther is no ugly and there is no super dooper beautiful. All is equal.

Let's talk about talents. We don't like boring shows and always variety. From native dance, modelling, disco, funk, broadway, tahitian, latin dances, voodoo, adajo, etc, etc.

How we relate to people. Men come to our place not to cheat but to tell us his problems and fears. We were like shock absorbers, they need somebody to listen and they wanted advise and a little laughter in return. Mostly are stressed people. We may be too proud of ourselves boasting this and that but we are always ready to listen to people who are in trouble. They like our company, because we are bubbly and funny. We enjoy cook-outs and eating out in cheap restaurants that we are use to hang out.

Don't generalize us.

my friends whom I worked with that were filipino's were cool people.. as diverse as any people.. great sense of humor and some were excellent workers and some were not.. pretty much like anybody else.. I love their skin tone.. it's just simply attractive to me.. I've seen filipino's that looked like light skinned black person and some that look very light skinned.. so they have much appeal in the expanse of the variety in the complexion..

i me some who did housekeeping in HKG.. but what was very impressive, is that she was putting 3 kids thru school in the Philippines, and making the sacrifice of being away.. but her purpose was that they may have a better life.

people I worked with.. always invited me to go there with them.. and would tell me they would show me the best places..

i had two particular guys who worked with me.. I got them both promoted, and they were very gracious but .. it was nothing they did not deserve.. they were very focused workers..
My neighbors.. were Filipino..and sorry to say.. but the women tickled my fancy every time I'd see her.. she was just naturally pretty..

the element that I'd not be too cool with.. is her family cannot come and live with me if I choose the woman.. that would be something that she'd have to understand..

but beyond that.. it's just people..

one can't go around ignoring people because of where they live.. because not all the world is not a Beverley Hills.. so you deal with the individual.. not their neighborhood..

many of the people who hold wealth today.. can many be traced back to neighborhoods that were not the cream of the crop of community life..

but that does not mean they do not have self dignity.

I always wondered what a Pinay was, now I know. Thank you. So what is the biggest problem in the Philippines? Is it lack of education? Bad government programs? I'm just wondering if you have an opinion on what is wrong with the whole picture.

By the way, I get emails from filipinas asking asking for help and money. They really do have a bad reputation as prostitutes.

Thank you for seeing us that way. This is true we are happy people. The reason why I wrote this is let all readers to know what made our image Filipinos lost their identity. Rich people getting richer and richer and poor people getting poorer and poorer. When dollar is high, the price is high too and when it lowers down the price never, it stays the same. So it's very impossible for the people to afford our needs.

We are very hard working people and will do any kind of job just to give our family the best education, food, shelter, all the necessity a human being must have. We leave our own country and family and work abroad. We can't earn the same amount at home than what we can gain in another country.

Lot's of people are now experiencing poverty, work and work but not enough to sustain our needs everyday. And some just got fed up working sop hard and chose to work the easiest way and that is robbing, corrupting, etc etc.

I know, lots of Filipinos live anywhere and some live a good life. Some have goods image and some have bad. But believe me, they are good people, only there are some situations that made them do the bad side.

Your neighbor might have caught your attention everytime you see her. Well, I can't blame you, we always have ready smiles to people who look at us that sometimes misunderstood as flirting.

How small or big we are , we make our self at least fit to live in this world. We can easily mix ourselves to anyone. That's our best point!

the Filipino people whom I worked with always invited me to any of their functions if it was just social or family gatherings.. i was invited to stay the night if I did not feeling like driving home.. or did not feel safe to drive..

some of the guys told me some of the best stories I ever heard.. make me laugh endlessly.. and the women can be very playful or as serious as they need to be when they need to be.. but they always took time to make themselves look as best as possible no matter what. I could be happing waking up with a filipino woman next to me..

    Bonjour....Jalo.....

Nice post and it touches my heart....

I have many filipino friends whom I enjoy their companies. But I got a little problem, they love to chat in their own language although they speak english confortably. When I make a complain of being left out by them, they usually laugh out loud and make jokes by using the common words as 'MY DEAR'. I love it....When I meet them, our first greeting is 'MY DEAR, dear, dear, etc.'

You are right, we are the children of God.But there are people who like to judge by their narrow minded.Just let them be.

I have been judged as a frenchy, chinesechy and americanchy. So What...!!! it doesnt bother me but I do have a little bit confusion of my hometown. However, I do have an advantage when I travel.I feel like I am at home while actually I am not.

    Bonne journee

    God Bless

Good day Rejoice! I was glad that you like your Filipino friends.

Don't despair if they talk in their own language, I know they are not talking ill about you. Maybe some gossips that you don't have to know or some family secrets that they can't share to you.

I also have such attitude talking in my own language in front of a japanese friend whenever I see my fellow Pinays. I sometimes mixed all the language and nobody understands me So I prefer dealing or talking one by one. If they need the conversation translated, I do it automatically without asking me please.

I just remembered some comments of old posts here in AsiaFind about Filipinos living in America. They compared us to Chinese and other Asian women saying that Filipinas are American's maids. That really hurt my ego. But it's really true. Why the "maid image", I just thought that , that person who said that haven't had a check-up in the hospital where many Filipino nurses and doctors are employed. Why only see the image of Filipinos in America? How about here in Japan, where we are most loved by the Japanese

When you got a Filipino as a friend, expect a lot of loyalty and fun.

We like inviting people and catering for our friends specially if you are also as crazy as they are. If you know how to be with them, they will always invite you anywhere and will share even the smallest secrets that they have. They like green jokes too! Just right for you

About waking up seeing a Filipina beside you....hmmmm......possible! Be a good man and be very gentleman.

I think Elle is correct...there are good and bad in
all people no matter the race, color, religion, nationality...
whatever....
What shapes our attitudes, personalities, etc...is a combination
of the ideals and values our parents (or parent type persons)instill
into us at early ages, and the things we experience that gives
us the perspectives that we have. People tend to shape their
opinions by what they've heard from another or by a limited
exposure. If I am robbed by a black man...can I
say all black men are robbers? If I am rejected by a mexican
woman, can I say all mexican women will reject me? Of course not,
but some will get the idea in their heads based on this limited
experience.
Anyway, it doesn't matter if "they" like you or not.
I like you
hahaha....

Dear J,

I do believe in every word you have said about our country's situation basically in its economic aspect, definitely true. To think that not all have the same point of view.

One thing I'm sure of is that "pinays" have a bit of difference with other nationalities, One thing is that they are martyrs regarding their lovelife, Compassionate and very much caring with their families and most especially "lovable and sweet". Unlike your woman counterparts who are liberated, financially stable, and gifted with their country with all the necessary assistance to consider.

About foreigners who prefer "Pinay", One thing they love about is that (pardon me with this),according to them is that " They are tight", Full of inhibitions and shyness at bedtime.

Basta sa pinay pa rin ako!, Ikaw ba? foreigner ba ang gusto mong makasama sa buhay mo?

Love and care,
Andy
