Black Friday Story Ok for everyone who actually decided to traverse outside during the cold a** weather and wait in line for hours and hours just to buy something cheap >.< Me: Got an Intel Quad core 6600 processor @ Fry's for 198 + tax (Horror) Story: So I spent a total of 6 hours waiting in line to buy my item >.< (From 3:30 am to 9:30 when i checked out) I spent about 1.5 hours waiting outside in the cold and the line reached to the side of the building (and Fry's is big) (not too bad) I got inside and had to wait about 1 hour to 1 hour and a half just to get the item (Getting abit annoyed) I spent 15 minutes searching for the end of the checkout line (omfg wtf) Waited about 2.5 hours in the checkout line just to be able to check out (ridiculous, my feet were about to literally fall off). The worst was the checkout line obviously but when I got to the register the entire checkout computer system crashes and had to wait about 15-30 more minutes for them to get it back up and running. In then end saving about 100 bux and spending 6 hours was totally not worth it >.< Plus I parked my car in another lot because the Fry's lot was full so the entire time I worried that my car would get towed (which it didn't whew) |

I avoid the whole things all together.. it's too much hype and promotion for me.. when I shop I like the clam and natural comfort of a non crowded store.. but, congrats if you got what you wanted and enjoy the standing in line thing.. I know many people who like the entertainment value of the experience.. and the drama of the wait.. but if it's the way to get what you want.. then .. I'd think it's a good thing for that..

ya i like to hear the stories people have on black friday...but i dont want a story of my own. one of my friends waited in line for 4-5 hours to get a laptop for $200 but there was a hidden fee no one knew about until it was time to pay which jacked up the price to almost regular price. in the end he saved about $50 whupdidoooo! I went shopping on black friday after the early morning rush and before the afternoon rush there was barely anyone out and i was just fine....
