A cool Saturday morn...Cowboys!

After three days of constant moonsoon rain, Sun peeks out on a cloudy day, a welcome news for clothes hanging out the clothesline, and for some birds chirping joyfully.

Watching some old movies from two cable TV stations, changing channels in between scenes, Why? on WOWOW 56 its "Midnight Cowboy" and Cinemax 30 its Wyatt Earp"

You should see the looks of Angelina Jolie on his fathers face, Jon Voight must be on his Twenties when he made this hustling type flick co-starring Dustin Hoffman(Ratso). I've seen this movie lots of time but still had that appeal on me, maybe for those scenes that were cut off out of censorship(X-rated)issues at that time of the late 60's. A Best Picture and Best Director runaway Oscar winner.

The saddest part that always touched me and makes me teary eyed was that of the scene on the bus ride, when both characters have to make it to Florida to evade the winter back in New York, Ratso's dreamland of sunny beaches and palm trees,Sun to rejuvenate his failing health.

Backside, Cowboy Joe Buck was relaying out plans for their migratory stay and then Ratso, blank stared eyes, heads leaning on the bus windows, life less didnt make it down Miami. A compelling movie about life struggle in the city of New York...

Can't help smiling for that resemblance looks of Jon Voight to that of his Angelina Jolie, One of the best performance of Dustin Hoffman as well.

Kevin Costner as the Western Legendary "Wyatt Earp", scene on, When he was drunk begging for a quarter for an honest decent meal. Out of frustration beating a man to death for some money and jailed for the crime of murder, was bailed out by his father in law (Gene Hackman) and the parting ways to go Arizona on vagabond just to elude arrest and prosecutions that will surely put him to death by hanging.

Landed a job as a bufallo hide skinner, works on the sleazy joint as card dealer, and end up as a lawman with his friends.

Of course the famous gunfight at O.K.Corral,with Doc Holiday and the Masterson brothers.

To cut it short these two inspiring movies tells us the lessons and fates of struggling to live on life no matter how wayward it is, always have that hope and linger on to it, ease our troubled mind and absorb frustrations, not to give in but hang on to survive the turbulent times.

Not a bad Saturday after all, So the words of the day to live on is..

"Keep on trackin, and move along"... Hasta la Vista! Blogfrenz!
