Provocation - Road to regional doom

The recent nuclear test conducted by NOKOR threatened not only its regional neighbors but the entire world. Posing a provocative stance with intensity, this action not only indicates the alliancy of communism within but also a complete defiance of the rules imposed by UN.

Regardless of what the clear intentions are, NOKOR a traumatized nation because of the inching forces within its borders, now has the capacity to bring up the level of contention within the Northern side of Asia.

Against all odds, under a heavy sanction, so contigously eager to relegate present status in the world of Militarism, willing to take the consequence of what this action may bring.

What can we expect from Uncle Sam? If Iraq was punished on basic suspicions of hiding Weapon of Mass Destruction, What more now that NOKOR is testing it out, right under their noses.

Wait and see?...or Lets get it on!

Good point Fedders! As a US citizen, I do not condone my country's aggressive nature when it comes to how they bully themselves around in the world. But in this case, it would be nice to see some help coming from the US b/c if they really have altruistic motives at all, they should treat this situation with as much attention as if it were Iraq. My cynical side tends to notice the fact that the only reason we care about what goes on in Iraq is for monetary gain (OI.

Anyway, I am not an advocate of force, and I have no political answers. But for me, if I lived in Asia, I would be very concerned about what is going on with NOKOR because the Powers that be feel threatened when other nations have such nuclear capability. Better to not even be on the radar screen so to speak and I just fear that these latest testings will bring negative attention in the form of distrust between North Korea and the World Powers. I am just a simpleton and so I will just pray for the best.

I hope you are well and God bless you always.

Brian

Fedders, Well, Bush said he wants to use diplomacy and talks with other countries included. He's right on this one. We can't be the police of the world. And who is to say who can and who cannot hold nuclear weapons? Should only the superpowers have them? I think so, just for the purposes of accountability. I think China is the biggest ticket here. They're not going to allow nuclear weapons in their own backyard. I say we let them take care of this one. We've still got Iraq.

marcot,

tnx for that comment...my concern is that we are just an ICBM away from where the firing will come from, and with our obvious alliance with US, NOKOR will not hesitate to cripple out one of the launching stages of the US forces in the Pacific...

deb,

Guess you are right, but I don't want think that US can't afford another confontation with a hard headed nation such as NOKOR...and there's a pending motion on Iran as well...a little bit shaky I guess, but not out of contention...

Have a nice week ahead!
