My little best friend..

I accompanied my eldest in her 3 day school outing. This is a traditional way of celebrating after (almost) finishing the 4th grade in elementary school. The teacher and 2 more mothers were present, we guided 18 between 9 & 10 year olds in all their activities. We stayed in "Jugendherberge" in Cochem along Moseltal, about 1 and half hour drive from our place. This region is also known for those famous weins. We had so much activities, visited some famous castle of the region, Freizeit park (like a small disneyland), ride the lift climbing to the mountain, night swimming, visitation of famous curry factory, etc. Overall, though tiring, it was a wonderful experience.

At first when she approached me, I was hesitant bec. I dunno where to bring my other 2 . But then she told me, she wants to enjoy her last elementary schooling with me, alone, without the bro. and sis. In short, she found a way of who will take care of them. Sibling rivalry is quite strong at these stage for them...the last time she had my full attention was when she was 18 mos. old. Well, I try to explain her in a way that she could comprehend, that I love them all equally and the presence of her other siblings wouldn`t mean I love her less..

It was a wonderful time for me and my . My little best friend was so sweet and loving, was a renewed friendship between the two of us

Grace, this sounds wonderful. Kids need one on one time with their mother. I do just daughter time or just son time with my wee beasties too.

Yes indeed. I heard a minimum of 30 mins. each day for each kid will mean a lot for them and I try my best to be "always" there when they need me.

Thanks for dropping by, you a have a great day!

Grace

SGN Mahal, good to be reminded. I know that time will come so I`m really enjoying my motherhood. Each of them have different ways of expressing their love. Once I had a heart to heart talk with my mother at the age of 8 and I will never forget, it`s stored in my memory bank

Awww Mahal! thank you, you`re so sweet! I honestly feel the same whenever I read your blog or see you beautiful smile, you give me positive energy

TC Mahal and God bless you!

Hey Super!
Good to see you again. The fact is, my kids live in a world where they can almost have everything, thoug they are not spoiled. Sometimes, I need to show the other side of the world in order for them to appreciate what they have right now.

Last year when I was on vacation in the Phils. I used public Bus, there was a young mother in her early 20`s, carrying a 1 month old baby in her lap, and her two boys aging 3 and 4 sitting beside her. In order to save bus fare, the older bro. let his younger bro. sit in his lap and no sit belts!. they we`re about to see the father working as painter in the city as he goes home only once a week. I was moved by the scene then I thought how lucky my children are!

I talk to the mother during the ride, she told me about her life experiences. She also helped me find my way as she`s familiar in that place, and at the end I gave a small gift for the children, the mother was very happy
