Business As Usual

Okay, I did it. I took the plunge and started my own business. I filed for a non-profit tax exempt EIN number today. Yeah! LOL!
I've got the paperwork for the business done. I bought office supplies today. I even spoke with a guy who can rent me a two room office. I'll go see it tomorrow.
As to employees, I put an ad in the local paper. Now I've got to get a small business loan or a goverment grant. Wish me luck! What a way to start out the new year, eh?

And what kind of business will you have?

At least you can't fire yourself, right?

she needs, an office.. anything dealing with people services.. it's not good for the real nut cases to know where you live.. they are only allowed in the office, and then only by appointment.

I have a friend who's been doing this business for over 25 yrs, and the big problem is not the clients, it's the HIPPA and the slow paying insurance companies..

but as I was telling my friend, the thing that's much needed is , a program designed to integrate the returning veterans back into the social landscape.. these people are having big adjustment problems and the military is not fully prepared to deal with it, and they are trying to hire people to do the same old process they had years ago, when they new new model designs that offer a new format for the new variables they face.." this will be a booming section to the right organizational presentations and program lay out. but it may be good to look at the newest of the electronic client data models, and ones that are capable of being read by other data systems... as there is a big push to transfer client records to this medium and format.

Vicky, it's a psychological service for children. You're right, I can't fire myself, but I could go broke, lol! Oh, well, that might not be so much a problem, as I just got hired yesterday as an English teacher of delinquint youths. I can work on my business in my spare time until I'm ready to get a place. I did like one of the offices I saw.
Go, Touch is right, I need to keep the crazies from knowing my home address, lol! But it's more than that. My home is zoned residential, so I have to get an office for my work unless it's mail order. Then again, I could work from my car until I get enough people to make it work.
Lots to do. I've made a list. It's just that each State and Federal agency seems to make me wait 24 hours for each step in the process, lol! Ah, well, with my new job, I can have patience.

Well, that was one of the shortest lived businesses in history, lol... the local government says I can't have a wrap around agency in this county because we have too many already. We don't really, but the woman I spoke with has the final say and it would be in competition with her husband's psychology business. Sigh, lol.....
