My First Ball And I Had A Ball! Last night I went to my first ball ever. It was a "Jane Austin" Regency Ball. We all had to dress up as if we lived in Jane Austin's time of 1810. I made both my and my 's dresses. They were so flattering, I wish I could dress like that every day. As to the ball itself, this style of dancing is incredible. What is the most special part of it is that you must dance with a different partner for every dance. You also get to dance with everyone in your line as you and your partner dance down the line. I did catch the eye of a young man in his late twenties, so I don't know why he didn't ask me to dance. But in fairness to him, I left after two hours to get back to my 's babysitter. These little rays of sunshine through the clouds make life bearable despite all the difficulties I have now. |
