43 Yep, I turned 43 yesterday. My best friend called intermittently throughout the day to remind me lest I forget, lol....I now call her..."Evil." But in truth, she did it to make me happy. She'd also bought me tickets to come see her on Captiva Florida, which is an island off the coast of Florida. I couldn't go though, because the cost of shots, putting the dogs in a kennel and airport parking was well over $600. I didn't realize it'd be so much. So I'm just going to pay her back for the tickets whether she likes it or not. She also called me today to say that her and her friends there went out to eat at an expensive restaurant in my honor. lol.....she's razzin me for not being t here. Next year... My dad and mom called too and sent two big boxes from Omaha Steak Company. I must be one of the only poor people on this earth who gets to eat gourmet. I couldn't even afford this when working full-time plus my after school job. I can't wait to eat the fillet minion. My parents are great. My ex is not so great, but at least I was able to arraigned to see my though him on my bday. Let's see, I was sick on Thursday, so I asked if I could just see the on Monday or Tuesday then instead. He said either day would be good. It's all in how you say it. If I'd of said that I wanted to see the on my bday the answer would have been "no" as in the past, but since I put it this way, he was agreeable. I asked if he could drop them off as my car was being worked on. I didn't let him know that it was actually two hours away in repo. Sigh, but you can rarely tell him the complete truth or he'll use it in court no matter how innocuous it sounds to you. Like the example of how he took me to court because his photo wasn't on an open house poster... after he told me that he didn't have one. Sigh. Anyway, the point is, the and I had a blast. Katrina got me bracelets from Clare's and Gus got me body splash from Bath and Body Works. Their Santa shop this year is getting classy. Last year, the store only had dollar store stuff. We also ate a giant cookie instead of a cake, played Animal Crossing on our DSes and then played hide and seek using only flash lights. I think they liked this part the best. So overall I had a great time. So what does being 43 mean to me? It just means that I'd better hurry up and do what I want to do in life before its too late. But isn't that true of every birthday? |

you are holding good ... congratulations... goodness I see some women here in this city, and 40 just seems to have ripped them royally... but you look good

Thanks guys. I think it helps that I don't drink more than once a year or smoke at all. I also try to eat healthy and get enough sleep. All that can really take a toll on the skin.
