Tuyet, I finished the painting... Yes... I know. It shouldn't take that long to paint a bedroom. The walls are a textured stucco that really sucks up paint. I needed 2 coats of primer to fully cover the original turquoise paint. The new color went on okay, but I missed some spots due to the textured walls and had to do more touchup than expected. For the first time in my painting career, I used an edge tool to paint along the ceiling. That proved to be a failure. It's good for about 4 or 5 feet then you have to add more paint. If you press too hard it will accidentally paint the ceiling. Every time you add paint, you have to clean the rollers and plastic top guides. I was spending more time cleaning the tool than painting. I normally do the edges with a brush but the brushes in the kit I got were inferior. This is the first time I had to resort to tape. That worked well. I'll be sure to tape all the straight edges from now on! |
