Hindenburg...

Eighty years ago today marks the airship disaster when the German Hindenburg, an 805 foot long passenger zeppelin burst into flames while descending in an attempt to dock at the Naval air station in New Jersey on May 6, 1937.

Reportedly it took less than 1 minute for the Hydrogen filled airship Hindenburg to be engulfed in flames killing 36.

The exact cause of this disaster may never be known. Some say static electricity from a mooring cable. I've read reports of sabotage.
