'Conspiracy-filled gold': FBI releases images of September 11 attacks from Pentagon The FBI has re-released a series of images taken at the Pentagon in the wake of the September 11 attacks in 2001. The 27 images had disappeared from the FBI's website after a "technical glitch" an unknown time ago, but were recently re-uploaded once the agency became aware of the fault, a spokeswoman said. Some news agencies reported that the images were never seen before, however, they were first released in 2011. The images show the devastating aftermath of the terrorist attack in which American Airlines Flight 77, travelling from Dulles International airport in Washington DC to Los Angeles, ploughed into the Pentagon at 9.37am local time American official said the plane struck the building – home to the US Department of Defense – between the first and second floors, killing 184 people. It was the third of four planes to be hijacked on the day, with two hitting the World Trade Center towers in New York City, and the fourth crashing in Pennsylvania after passengers and crew fought to regain control of the aircraft. A total of 2,996 people were killed in the attacks and a further 6,000 were injured in what was the worst terror attack ever witnessed on American soil. The images from the Pentagon show firefighters sifting through the rubble, some with sniffer dogs, as they searched the building for survivors and casualties. Authorities spent several days sifting through the building and extinguishing the fires. Once the images were re-released, the archive was among the most popular on social media site Reddit. One user on the network described the images as "conspiracy-filled gold".        Honesty is the best policy. |

It was a painful bad memory of this horrendous day, Sept 11 in 2011. I have cried for many years and every time on that day. It was a terrified trauma, a nightmare. That morning when the first plane flied into the one World Trade twin tower at 9 a.m. in New York, due to the different time zone, we were in California the time was 6 a.m. I was awake. By the 2nd airplane flied into the other twin tower, my mom called me from her townhouse and told me to turn on the TV. I saw all the channels on TV were reporting the same news. It was a chaos, people were running and screaming. Then one tower crashed down and the another tower followed soon after. It was a tremendous impact on all Americans - Terrorist attack on U.S. soil. I have been on 101th floor of both towers in the winter of 1996 that for tourists to visit and view the NYC. I felt a little swing on 101th floor as I remember. The whole floor had glass windows and I could see Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan, ... as the tour guide told us. They were the highest buildings that I have ever been. On that horrified morning of 2001, both of them crumbled down. In that trip (Christmas of 1996 - New Year's of 1997), we also visited Pentagon the next day early morning. We could only stay outside as Pentagon is a top military building - no tourists allowed. Pentagon is not a tall building but it is very wide. Those 19 stupid Muslim terrorists hijacked 4 of our planes because they had been brainwashed that if they killed Americans they could go to heaven and have 72 virgin wives. Ever since that tragedy, the hatred in between Christians and Muslims ignited. Honesty is the best policy.

It was a very sad day. However, some people even posted "conspiracy-filled gold" on a website called "Reddit". Finally, FBI re-loaded those 27 photos on FBI site to prove that there was no gold hiding inside the Pentagon as the rumor once spread. It was just computer glitch that those photos were disappeared in 2001. 2001 is a tragedy year for America. I remember vividly that I was working full time as a pharmacist and after 9/11 tragedy another plane crashed (but not a terror attack). Few month later there was "Anthrax" threaten, someone put white powder in envelopes and mailed out to certain people and killed people with Anthrax virus. At that time, Cipro 500mg is the only "drug of choice" for Anthrax and we dispensed so many Cipro prescriptions and ran out of inventory completely. We repeatedly ordered Cipro but it took long time to come. It was that terrified in 2001. Pharmacists knew the first hand "Cipro was sold out", we couldn't fill the prescriptions for Cipro. A bright September day was darkened by the worst attack on the American people in our history. The images of 9/11 are seared into our national memory -- hijacked planes cutting through a cloudless September sky; the Twin Towers collapsing to the ground; black smoke billowing up from the Pentagon; the wreckage of Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where the actions of heroic citizens saved even more heartbreak and destruction. And yet we know that the worst images are those that were unseen to the world. The empty seat at the dinner table. Children who were forced to grow up without their mother or their father. Parents who would never know the feeling of their child’s embrace. Nearly 3,000 citizens taken from us, leaving a gaping hole in our hearts on September 11, 2001, Honesty is the best policy.
