C'est la Vie "Life confronts us with so many different situations! So, to deal with them we must learn to be flexible. Some people react in the same way whatever the situation, using the same means, the same method. But as each problem requires a specific solution, they are forever thwarted by obstacles. They need to bend a little, be more perceptive, more diplomatic – not in the negative sense of being hypocritical and cunning, but in the sense where diplomacy implies wisdom. Those who are truly wise are diplomats, psychologists, who know which strategy to choose for the best outcome in a particular situation or with a particular individual. They ponder and determine how to maneuver, like sailors who know the currents and the reefs and know where and how to guide their boat to avoid shipwreck. Being flexible, therefore, is being wise and perceptive. "
