This morning I came over Asia today feature on BBC world about a humanitarian act done by a couple of admirable British women, Emma Bulmer and friend Anna who patiently collected around 50,00 pairs of shoes for Pakistani , part of about 2,000,000 victim of a devastating earthquake last year.

These nice ladies were touch after viewing a report on BBC Correspondence, featuring walking barefooted on cold winter snow. They decided to trek upon a quake zone frequently visited by dozens of aftershocks, braving the danger of being hit by rocks falling above the passage way of the valleys, determine to reach their main goal.

The moment of touching memories sets in when the chopper arrived bringing along the shoes that was delayed for a day due to road blockades caused by landslide.

The scene of smiling accepting their gifts from kind donors brought down some shaken moments of joy and teardrops from Emma and Anna. A sense of fulfillment for their task and deserving honors for this modern day heroines.

Elated feelings of hope for these to start a new life with a pair of shoes in the lonely valleys of Pakistan...

Flight of the half -blind pigeon...

It was over about two weeks since the purchased of a "Dark Checkered" breed brood cock that I decided to try him for a flight just about on top of the vicinity to acclimatized him to his new surroundings...

Newly paired with a Taiwan bred Blue-bar hen, He had a lot of boasting gesture to his mate and the timing for a test flight was so conducive and the instinct to fly back to the loft was there.

Since its almost 3'in the afternoon, I did set the half blind pigeon free...hesitant and excited, he flew a halfway loop with gusto and even look down to his left side as the impairment of the right eye obviously was his handicap. I even send up three more pigeons to be his guide on his way back to the loft, up on the roof.

Unfortunately, he seems to be out of control for he can't make a landing on top of the neighboring buildings so as to rest and just keep on flapping his wings encircling aimlessly.

Almost dusk and one of the boys watching at the other end told me that he had a sight then of the blind bird and saw it heading the opposite way, flying confused and rattled...

Dismayed and sadden by my inconsiderate test, A cold lament shiver down my spine and felt very sorry for what I've down for the hapless creature. Guilty as I was , decided to close down the trap door and even whistle for the last time so if by chance he can hear me and learn his way back .

Three days have passed and no sign at all while his mate was cooing sadly in her laying pen. Sense of guilt was still there inside of me, offended as if a silent whisper over, reminding me of my carelessness and un-intentional cruelty.

Daybreak, on the 4th day, still sleepy when I heard a scratching noise over the loft screen. Hurriedly bounce off from bed ,thinking it was my neighbor's black stripe cat who keeps on preying my pigeons. With a struck of luck , it was the blind pigeon hanging over the screen, pecking and answering back by bobbing her head at the other end was her mate excitedly waiting for his return...

I guess my conclusion was that, he made his way back, out of his consummate love, in spite of the odds...Now they are both members of my regular "distance flyers"...

A glimpse on those catwalk babies showing their wares at the ramp for a signature outfit created by well known international fashion designers...

Watching [f] channel in cable TV really turns me on when I accidentally saw the "Lingerie" portion of the fashion show in Paris...Natural instinct for a man like me to avidly gaze at them super models in skimpy undies...

Just like a reminder of an 007 movie where the best curves and the lovely faces blessed with striking personality made it as "Bond Girls"

Brazilian beauties dancing gracefully to the swaying beat of the samba music at a Mardi Gras in Rio de Janeiro...

To err is human... but to live continously in a life full of error is illicit...

Invaluable things such as wealth, sometimes do harm than good for one has the tendency to accumulate more at the sacrifice of its lowly subordinates. To capitalized on others adversity is insatiable therefore deprivation of oppurtunity makes it harder for the poor to grow up and live its life to a standard one.

Monopolies and aphartheid were the old examples of this inhumane practice.

Now in modern world, we have to deal with Graft and Corruption, White Slavery, Genocides, Human Rights Violation, Invasion, War Atrocities, Drugs and , and some minor petty's committed because of poverty and social injustice.

The sun shines for the good and the bad alike and life will be worthy if we lessen are errors that will do harm to our peers...

My sole still aches after that little sacrifice last "Maundy Thursday"...thirst and hunger under that afternoon scourging heat contributed to our deterioration plus the fatigued on our leg muscles, my two buddies with me have to bear...We can stole some rest from time to time when we reached every Church that was on the list in our annual visitation.

We've finished our walk along the Metro streets at about 9 p:m...finishing at Quiapo church where the replica of the "Holy Sepulcher" lies, for our 14nth and last station...breathing a sigh of relief and thanks ...a renewed spirit within our faith and indulgence.

Our revitalized souls and hope that we may pass this way, then on..."Happy Easter Sunday to everyone".

A "V" formation flight of the herons and egrets flying back to where they came from now that it is springtime...Local so amazed to see these foreign birds on the skyway.

Very unusual for us to see the flights of these migrating birds here in the Philippines after their escape from the cold winters at their habitat in China. A once in a year spectacle...

A good sign that once and for all we have passed the test of times, about that bird flu scare, attributing that these birds that visit us are not the dreaded H5N1 carrier...

Flowers in bloom at sprigtime in China, A colorful sight to see, a lovely season...

Here's hoping that all my Chinese friends will have some good time now that winter is over!

Now that the "New York Times" editorial has revealed its own view of what's happening here in our country, I can attest that there is indeed a conspiring effort to bring down the present government of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

Would you believe that her detractors are shouting out in protest not for the sake of the common people's welfare but that of gaining the elusive position so as to pursue their own self interest and political gains.

A constitutional charter change is being push through, and both Senate and the Lower House of Congress are divided on the issue not because of the benificial economic change it will derive thereafter, but the fear of losing their powers and the early cut-off of their mandated terms.

Our lady President is indeed an honest to goodness ally of Pres. George W. Bush, because of the anti- terrorist policy both government perceived and imparted as the best security measures within the South East Asian Region. Considering that the Philippines is still the strategical partner of the US in the Far East, we do remain within the policies perpetually.

Unless we find a better way of guarding our democracy, Our present Government must stay in power so as not to create a chaotic scenario and put our nation in peril.

As the saying goes..."choose the lesser evil"
