I am currently working and living near Albany, NY. I have been teaching Chinese language, literature and culture at college level for nearly 20 years with two master's degrees. My teaching has received tremendous appreciations from my students and peers. I have an inherent love of education, and my students’ tremendous appreciation further enhanced my passion for my profession. Overall I am dedicated to anything I am committed, to work and to family. I also enjoy reading and writing. During weekends, I like to meet with friends (and their children), chat, cook, watch movies, hike, tour around, visit museums, explore the beauty of nature, life, culture, or arts—almost any activities except for things like Bungee Jumping :).
I am caring, trustworthy, empathetic to others, and having a positive perspective on life. I focus on problem solving and always appreciate communication. I am not only looking for someone who I can live with, but also the one from whom I can learn and with whom I can share the mutual appreciation, connection and fulfillment as well as feelings and thoughts about life.
I have a 13-year old boy living with me. He is very kind, healthy, active, and smart. My neighbors and friends frequently complimented on his behaviors. He has been doing truly well in the school, and when he goes to a college in the future, he's eligible for a tuition scholarship benefit provided by my university.
Life is not easy. I have been arranging it well for me and my son, yet I hope to find the ONE and together make the life more enriching and complete.
My Ideal Person:
Ideally I hope to find someone who has a similar family and education background to mine. My siblings and I all have a BA, an MA, or a PhD degree and a great career that we love. I own my houses with all mortgage paid off. I don't have any debts or unresolved issues from the past (emotionally or financially).
Also, hope you are honest, loyal, kind, optimistic, intelligent, family-oriented, and possibly interested in Chinese culture; not necessarily handsome, but keeping in good shape; not necessarily rich, but having an ability to maintain a stable and joyful family life; not alcoholic, no drugs, no legal issue (my son's words  ; Also hope you are between 40-55 years old, 173-190cm tall, having a higher education degree and a profession from which you may gain a sense of accomplishment or realization of personal value.
