I've been described as a nonconformist with a scary intellect and a wicked sense of humor. I'd say I'm a thoughtful extrovert who doesn't want to drift through life content with mediocrity and complacency. I admire and respect people with passion, ideas and the will to do what's right and make things happen, yet who don't take life too seriously. I'm easy to get along with and don't get upset by much; I've been told I'm kind, affectionate, and genuinely fun to be around. I stick by my friends, don't play "power games" and value loyalty, honesty and mutual respect. I don't generally watch television (it takes too much time that I think better spent on other things instead of sifting through the endless channels of mindless drivel to find the few real gems!), though I'm an incorrigible armchair movie critic. I love books and I'm an enthusiastic (if somewhat klutzy!) amateur cook. I've lived in the US and Europe, though I don't know if that's why I delight in upsetting stereotypes, celebrating individualism, and always look forward to my next vacation! :)
My Ideal Person:
I'd like to meet someone who's honest, funny and intelligent. We're most of us hoping to find our kindred spirits and soulmates eventually, so I hope you'll share some of my interests, and yes, even prejudices! It'd be great if you've travelled a lot, perhaps lived or worked abroad, and if you know what's truly important to you. You're intellectually curious, athletic and a genuine nice guy. You like independent-minded but caring girls with whom you can share ideas and ideals, and build a mutually respectful, supportive relationship. We'll be each other's best buddies, we'll laugh a lot and share experiences both good and not-so-great, from incredibly interesting conversations to leaky tents when backcountry camping! Oh, and please don't be a smarmy Republican ...
